Molino de la Isla Organics LLC is an organic farm created to promote sustainable lifestyles and to protect the acequias of Nuevo Mexico. At our Organic Farm the health of our customers, as well as the health of the land and water, are a priority to us. We take that extra step to certify that our practices are organic and to the highest of standards by obtaining our organic certification. We also have obtained our Tier 1 and Tier 2 Food Safety Training certifications.
We mainly sell at the Tri-County Farmers’ Market in Las Vegas, and at times at the Santa Fe Farmers Market. We provide our customers with the ability to pick up produce fresh at our organic farm or to have it delivered to them. We also offer a twenty week CSA program (Community Supported Agriculture.) People buy "shares" of our farm's harvest in advance and then receive a portion of the crops as they're harvested.
With a CSA program, farmers earn important early-season capital and have a guaranteed market for their produce, and consumers enjoy overall lower food costs, field-fresh produce, and greater access to high-demand fruits and vegetables. We also support our community by working with local school districts to participate in New Mexico’s farm to school program.
